BIOHOME Gravel is a Gravel size pellet which is ideal for small internal filters. It is also made from Sintered Glass and does not change water properties as uch as water pH in any way. It can be used as an Ideal SUBSTRATE where it will be the perfect for aquariums using under gravel system. With approx 42% porosity it is also acting as a perferct Bio fliter media as well. It is ideal in very small spaces and HOB filters where larger pellets are not practical.
It is also very suitable as a shrimp and plant substrate, internal filters and DIY filters made from ornaments. Cleaning the substrate is easily done as you would clean any other substrate or by vigorous agitation in water drained off during tank maintenance.
